A mid-week off has a happy effect. It brings a break to the hectic work week. It was raining incessantly and we were out for a drive. Something that’s otherwise not possible on a working day.
I was watching it rain with the windows rolled up.
It’s beautiful, isn’t it?
Those water droplets sliding off the glass, the pitter patter of rain and the music playing in the car. The peace and calmness that surrounds at such a time.
At a traffic signal, this guy was getting drenched to sell umbrellas and earn his daily bread.
While I was looking at the colorful umbrella, he was trying to see if I was willing to buy one.
Two sides to a story.
A day off or an every day’s job.
Two vantage points to the same situation.
Two elements.
Sharing this picture I recently clicked and a few words today for the Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge – Opposites.
I love your take on this week’s challenge!

I feel the same way when I have night duty. I see tired office goers returning home when I travel to work and vice versa when I return from work in the morning.
Loved your take on the prompt:) It struck a chord.

That is a picture that speaks to you, a lovely capture Parul! Coincidentally I purchased the very same rainbow umbrella at a traffic signal last week and literally for a song, I didn’t even feel like bargaining! Ours is a country of diversity and disparity….one man’s perception varies drastically from the next one’s! Mid-week breaks are the best aren’t they?

Thank you, Kala. I was very tempted but there was no need to buy so when I was clicking I knew this guy wanted me to buy. You are right about disparity and those mid week offs.

I love the rains and these colorful rainbow umbrellas. However, I usually go with the smaller umbrellas whenever I go out because these are too long for me to handle.

I also have a smaller one in my bag, all the year round. But I know many prefer a big one.
