Never ever think of the role they play. When in school I always used to fear the principal. Was of the opinion that all they did was shout at kids. But I know now that the role they play is vital for the school to function and for us to learn.

Principals hold such important position of responsibility. It made me remember my principal, she was friendly and would interact with kids as well as she had a very strong voice to scare you out.

  4. Principals have to be real strict since they are responsible for so many aspects of the school. When I was in the primary classes and used to miss school, my father always had this habit of addressing the leave applications to the Principal and to get those applications signed by her was the hardest part. So I began writing the leave applications on my own free to address those to the class teachers.

This reminds me of our Principal Ma’am!!! As kids, we were all really scared of her and admired her at the same time.

  6. I love these posts from you…I love these stories of women in ordinary lives who are all extraordinary…Keep sharing them Parul…we need it

I find Principals always intimidating. Perhaps because I’ve always been the troublemaker at school 😛
But I sure admire the way you’ve captured the daily activities that she engages in.

  8. It’s getting harder and harder for educationists to do their job. I admire teachers and Principals.

  9. I’ve admired principals the way I have admired doctors. Such important, responsible positions both and some of them carry it off with real aplomb.

Nice little poem there to capture the daily grind 🙂
