Would you believe if I tell you that Dettol is older than the time when India became a Republic? Yes! Dettol is a household name in India since a long time and I think as kids we have all dreaded injuring ourselves else Mummy “Dettol laga dengi”! The best and the most reliable antiseptic ever. So, when I got a chance to review Dettol Multi-Use Wipes, I was a little biased. Even without opening the pack, I was convinced that quality cannot be compromised here. Well, it’s hard to prove me wrong. This was my first attempt at a product review and I’m glad that Indiblogger became the medium.
Where to use: Most of the time while on the go, wipes are something that come really handy. You want to get freshened up but the luxury of washing your face or may be taking a break is not always under control. In the past, I have used wet wipes that smell good and then I use a sanitizer to protect myself from germs. Imagine, if you had the benefit of both the worlds in one? A product that serves as a wet wipe and a sanitizer? That is what I think is the USP of Dettol Multi-Use Wipes for those who like me want to use it on the go.
Another great usage is in the kitchen. Food and water contamination is one of the most common causes of various kinds of infections. You could use a Dettol wipe on your kitchen slab or the stove and keep it germ free. I did not stop there. I tried it on my refrigerator, the microwave glass and the always dirty mixer. It all shines like new and I know it is germ free too!
Positives:
- The branding is the same as Dettol’s green-white combination and the moment you see, you will feel comfortable with what is in your hands.
- The wipes have a great mild and fresh smell that leave fragrance once used.
- The box has a opening that could be closed when not in use. This avoids drying of the wipes.
- The packaging is compact, and good to fit in a bag.
What could have been better:
- I found the pricing to be on the higher side. May be a little more reasonable pricing would have been better to reach more segments of the consumer markets.
- Looking over the packaging and how the company looks at new products, a little experiment with colors would be good to attract new consumers. The only constant thing in the world is change. Right?
Overall Feedback: Overall, I was very happy with the product and I even shared it with my friends to let me know what they think. All I heard was great acceptance and happy faces. So, I would say just pick up the product and you will know that this is not a paid promotion 🙂 I genuinely feel nobody knows India and the germs here better than Dettol!
Product Pricing: Pack of 30 for Rs.115 and Pack of 10 comes for Rs. 45. Pick what is the best for you!
