All for hope and optimism

There is no one story that could shine all life long. Stories that bring on optimism and hope are many and you could trust me on that! These stories are all around us. People in our lives, people around us or people away from us, every one has a story of optimism that is worth paying attention to. You may think that life sucks when things go off track and not as planned but I believe that what ever happens has a reason behind and there is something positive about even that one thing which you thought wasn’t good for you. You may not be able to see that immediately but in the long run, they come around and prove themselves for better.

Stories of grit, hope, determination and courage are the ones that stay in the hearts forever. The ones which have been told and retold and we continue to love them each single day. One story that almost all of us have heard is about the little boy who was so sure that God will listen to their prayers for rains in times of a drought that he stepped out with umbrella. And it did rain to prove the faith and optimism of the little boy. Each night is followed by a day and after every storm comes a chance  for a clear weather.

When Thomas Edison invented the light bulb, he failed. Not once or twice but many many times. Did he give up? Did he stop his journey or question his passion? Not at all! He kept going on and finally invented the light bulb that is such an important invention of our times. To mark his words “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”

Even a little child falls the first time he tries to walk. We have all had injuries when we first rode a bicycle but that did not deter us from trying how to ride one. I look around and I see so many people with hope and optimism in their eyes. Recently I was watching the TED videos of Aisha Chaudhary, She was just 18 when she passed away but her motivational talks are still doing rounds on the internet. She knew that death would dawn its dark wings on her one day but she wanted to live life and he happy. Yes, being happy is a choice and not a condition. You can choose to sulk about your life or pick up and move on with a smile on your face because in the end how successful you are and how much money you could make would not matter. What would matter is how many lives you touched and how many smiles you spread.

Make an inspiring story of your own. Stay put when things go bad. Smile and relax when life seems hard and encourage someone else. If someone comes to you, they should leave a better person or at least feeling better. Never say what you don’t mean and watch what you say. Words are not forgotten – both what is said and how it is conveyed stays with people. Life is too short to let it pass without living it to the fullest. This is what I believe in and I will continue to do so.

The universe listens and I am glad it is encouraging me to stay positive. This post was written for Look Up stories, an initiative of  Indiblogger.

I hope I left a smile on your face with this post! 🙂

  1. Parul..a really powerful post! and I couldn’t agree more… through lives most difficult times we have two choices to stand up and fight the storm or to get sucked into the storm.. The choice is ours and the most successful ones I have seen are the first types…have a great Thursday!

  2. Nice post Parul :). Loved this quote – “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” I believe that eternal hope and optimism are what can take us through varied variety of challenges and obstacles.
