This Friday my Mum had a cataract removal surgery in the left eye and it kind of worried me. I thought of her Blood Pressure, her tendency to panic and what not. So much so that I could not even write a post on #myfirstexpert, a prompt where most of my blogging buddies wrote such lovely tributes to their mothers. I was just not in that frame of mind.
So, for today’s Sunday Punch I want to show you some stats on how hard our moms work or you guys as mothers work. This is 2013 data but I am sure this is pretty much the reality.

My Mum is one of my best friends and this Sunday Punch #24 falls on the 24th!
If you want to know more about my Mum, read my post Maa..
Amazing stats.. I guess I am 90% through on this as I completed 17 years of married life!

I hope the surgery went well and she is feeling better now.
These stats should be framed and hanged at a visible corner at every home.

That is one of the reasons why I think Moms should get paid for all their hard work! Not to mention ALL their different roles: caretaker, nurse, cook, maid, etc. 😉 ❤

But I must say, I’m in the 39% of people who don’t ask their mum advice 😛
Maybe that will change soon? Maybe.. I hope it does! 😀

Parul, Hope your mom’s operation went well. Whoa. These stats show the amount of hardwork and dedication mothers put in.
But then, I feel that as the years go by, more and more men are sharing the load in terms of changing diapers, making food, helping in toilet training etc. So hopefully the burden will start to be equally shared between fathers and mothers :).
