I am neck-deep in work.
There is a lot happening around.
Who has the time for Yoga? I am sleeping so late.
Well, I am right in the middle of a tight season.
When my friend, GK proposed if we would be willing to take a road trip to Hampi, all these thoughts took a back seat. VT took time to decide but in my mind, I had already packed my bags. Then just a day before, a colleague mentioned that there is never a perfect time to get away from the craziness we deal with every other day. And she was absolutely right. I knew, it’s now or never.
Hampi has been on my bucket list for quite some time and I did not want to miss the opportunity. In the little time we could manage, things were packed and the maps pulled up right.

We left on a working day and were lucky to beat traffic. Getting to watch the Sun rise while on the way was my most favorite part of the journey.
More tales will Hampi will come soon but for now, soak in the picturesque route and the great drive.

There will be a series on Hampi. Come back again to read more on places to visit and till then, Happy travelling!

Wow! That’s interesting! I am looking forward to your series on Hampi! Did a road trip almost a year back with family and loved it, despite the soaring mercury levels! A must-visit, this place!

Should be on everyone’s bucket list, methinks. I was lucky to work in Harihar, and visited Hampi a few times-each visit was memorable.

Agree with your colleague. There is never a perfect time to do anything and get away from this crazy world. To get away from it, sometimes we really just have to pull away and walk the other direction. Wonderful shots of Hampi so far. Very scenic and I really like the one of the sun rising.
Happy traveling and sounds like you are enjoying yourselves so far 🙂

What great shots, Parul. Look forward to more of Hampi on your blog. By the way, my next trip to Karnataka is all about Chalukya and Vijayanagara trail. Hampi, Badami, Aihole, Pattadakal and who knows where else! Well, it is not really planned as such, but it is in my mind for sure 🙂
