Independence day in pictures

A three-day weekend for Independence day and sneaking out of the city was on my mind. These are the days I wait for when the list of the year’s holidays is published. However, this time, friends were not too keen and VT and I could not make up our minds.

The result? A long weekend at home. Lazing, reading and then there were the Olympics for our company.

This morning, I woke up early and headed for my usual walk. There was no pressure of running to work so it was calmer than I had thought. Add to it, the Independence Day turned it into a colorful one.

So, this morning turned into a photo walk. I sang the national anthem with the senior citizens’ group and giggled as I tried to get the boys together for a quick picture. This was the best thing I did over the past three days.

  1. Happy Independence day! You’ve got some colourful and vibrant photos there. I’m reminded of the lovely I-day celebs in school. This time getting three days in a row free, everyone from college has rushed to their respective homes. Having some quality family time. 🙂

    1. Thanks Vishal. I do not live in a society. Bangalore’s layout is a bit different. This is such an area and we are divided into mains and crossses. I walking between a couple of mains so many different things popped up 🙂 you should visit Bangalore.
