Sometimes I wonder that under the same sky we all go through different experiences. Life shows different colors to different people. It’s the same sky, yet we all see things unique to us.
People deal with their own problems and don’t know that the other person is going through their worst times. On the outside, they are just appearing to be content with life.
Some don’t have anything to eat and some can’t pick a restaurant to dine. Some wait for a Friday and some can’t believe that another Friday is back to haunt.
Your life is unique to what you are going through. Never compare or try to live the other person’s life. Do not fall in the trap of finding happiness in someone else’s shoes. Look at the sky above you for that’s your piece of world.

Day 18 of #NaBloPoMo is Skywatch Friday #4.
So beautiful and poignant, Parul. My mom always told me not compare my life with someone else’s but see how I have grown as a human. Of course, it’s easier said than done. There have been times when I have felt the grass is greener on the other side. Still do sometimes but then I try to think of my blessings and my portion of sky. A wonderful post, Parul.

I also compare but it never haunts me. Sometimes, I even draw inspiration from differences. But most of the times, I need to see my own growth like your mum rightly says.

Good one Parul. Everyone in this world is going through something – good , bad or worst. We shouldn’t compare our life with others.

That’s the common mistake we all do… a common thought that things are all fine in the other person’s shoes. Little do we stop to look at our own selves and say, hey it’s not that bad after all. A warm thought that’s was on a bright day!!!!!😃

That’s a profound thought! I remember reading this thought somewhere and I so agree with it that life is like an exam. Many people fail because they try to copy others, not realizing that everyone has a different question paper. And we have to answer it differently!

Beautifully said. I came to this realization few years back that I shouldn’t compare my life to others. There is too much emphasis on competition in life and I don’t see any point. We are all waging a battle with life in our own way.

Such a beautiful and articulate thought, Parul. “Life shows different colors to different people” I love this line. Each person has their own set of problems, and who are we to know and judge what is going on in their lives and how they feel. We also reach differently with the world around us. I like what Nabanita brought up – not to compare each other’s lives with your one one. It can certainly be hard to do because by comparing, sometimes it helps to better ourselves. Then again, when we just are own selves, we will be able to feel free and be who we are 🙂

How true, we must never judge someone else from what we see or what little we know about them, for everyone has got a mask on behind which lies a tale no one knows about. Great click. 🙂

It’s true, a person can be truly satisfied if he looks at his own piece of the world!
Comparing our lives to another person’s life is easier than analysing our own life, and figuring out what we ourselves can do to make it better 🙂
