One of my favorite things about life is knowing how everything connects one day. We don’t understand what happens today or what happened yesterday, but a day comes when everything is set to perspective.
I have a small story to share today.
In 2016, VT’s peer and friend Lai Tang sent us a Rangoli picture from the Canary Wharf in London. I loved the gesture and the picture. So I shared it on this post. This was when I first met Janak Chauhan, the Rangoli artist.
Then in 2017, Lai shared a rangoli picture from Canary Wharf and I knew it was Janak’s work. I shared it on my post about Diwali.
2018 was different. Lai wasn’t in London and I missed seeing rangolis at Bangalore, Delhi and Varanasi airports. Either I was too early for a rangoli or too late. But like the universe listens, I got a mail from Janak. He shared that he would be starting to make a rangoli at the same place in London beginning 10 am on November 5. His mail made me smile. The connection was made. If I was in London, I would have loved to watch him make the rangoli and I would have clicked many shots. I still think, I would do that some day.
For this year, I am sharing with you the pictures of the rangoli that Janak shared with me.
As always, his work was impressive and bright.

May be some day I will be in London during Diwali and when I do, I will call Janak up and will get you pictures that I would have clicked. Until then, keep celebrating this gift of life.
Linking with Esha and Natasha for #WordlessWednesday today and #75 for me.
Really nice!

Absolutely love your first paragraph ‘everything connects one day’, Parul. Isn’t that true. We might not know why things are happening the way they are right now, but it all clicks and falls into place at some point ahead. Life is strange this way…but also strangely comforting. Beautiful shots of the rangoli by Janak. Very kind of Lai to share his work with you. Maybe one day you will see these beautiful works of art for yourself. Another year, another rangoli and many more to come 🙂
