The lovely floral carpets from Onam this year are back. I have been a bit behind but better be late than never. Isn’t it?
This year, I realized that we were into the ten days leading to Onam on the third day. And like always, my friend LP was around to show me her beautiful pookalams. I love this little ritual we have. She with all the hard work of making these pookalams and me using this space to share her joy for the festival. In turn, all the readers of this space feel joy like I do.
So here are the floral carpets on all ten days straight from LP’s beautiful home.

I am very grateful to LP for bringing these pookalams to us and sharing her joy with me. It’s an honor when a friend opens up her heart and home for something as important and close as a festival. It grows to prove that we humans are all tied with the thread of love, care and togetherness.
So until next year, please join me in wishing LP and her family and loved ones a very happy Onam.
As yes, if you would like to know more about Onam, read this post.

They’re beautiful. Such simple designs and yet they make the occasion so very festive. Also, I love marigolds – their fragrance reminds me of festivity.

These are beautiful. Oh! how lovely it must to be have this decoration at home. I miss looking at pookalam during this time of the year. My experience is limited to only office decorations though. Both Chennai and Bangalore offices used to have such elaborate and lovely pookalam decorations.
