We all love our firsts – the first school, the first job, the first shot at fame, the first blog, and the list goes on. To my list of firsts, this Friday was the day I added my first blogger meet – the ASUS Indiblogger Meet – 2015.

When Indiblogger announced the Bangalore meet and asked bloggers to write about Go Sleek with Asus I think I was amongst the first few ones to write so that I could grab a ticket to entry. This time I did not want to miss the chance and glad I did get an invite. I left from work a little early and made it to ITC Gardenia on time. The introvert in me was nervous about going to a meet where did not know anyone. Yet this meet turned out to be place where I met people for the first time and connected instantly.

There was a little delay in kick off yet Indiblogger ensured that only bloggers with identity proofs made it to the event which I think was a good start. Something that instantly caught my attention as soon as we entered the Mysore Hall were the live tweets on the screen. Any one using #GoSleeekAsusExperience and tweeting, had a chance to see this up on the screen making their presence felt virtually.

Yes, music is the best welcome ever and we were given a foot tapping warm welcome by IndiTeam through jamming and some great ear splitting, head banging tunes. Not just that, we were all invited to some hur hur and fun filled participation that was enough for a rocking start to the evening. What followed next were some introductions, games and activities to engage each and everyone. Before the event, I was planning to find a cozy corner to sneak into but as Karthik mentioned, IndiBlogger team gave us no choice. The activities were planned smartly to ensure we all break the ice and meet as many people we could. I met a lot of wonderful bloggers – some who I knew through  their blogs and some I got to know for the first time.

Mr Chu from Asus also shared insights about the products – the Eeebook and the All-In-One PC. People asked questions, got their doubts clarified and I am sure a lot like me are already thinking of ordering the Eeebook. It was super sleek and smart! The starters and cold drinks were good fuel to keep us going till dinner was served.

Great hospitality, warm hosts, fun evening and great food made the evening a memorable one. For me the biggest highlight of the day was meeting like minded people -people who are trying to make a difference to the society by penning their thoughts, expressing their hearts out, clicking pictures that reveal a travel tale and encourage us to fight and emerge successful in this journey of life.

This first blogger meet has already left me wanting for many more. Thank you IndiBlogger for such a great start to the last weekend of the first month of 2015! 😀

  1. Not been to an Indiblogger meet. But am sure any blogger meets are fun. It’s awesome interacting with different bloggers from across the spectrum and getting different views and perspectives :).
