I am east bound tonight and when you read this post, I will be up in air amidst the clouds on a moonless night.
Travelling alone can make any one anxious but if you have a checklist with you, things will get easy. So, here is my little list of things that I keep a tab on before I travel:
- Passport – your identity proof in a foreign land
- Currency – If you need to make that call or buy something the moment you land
- A copy of your tickets – soft or hard, you must have one
- Medicines – you may never need them but always good to ward off the bad omens
- Address of the place you are headed to – after a long travel, most people head to the place they will stay so write it down and it helps even when your phone had died off.
- Something to munch – yes, you can always buy food but a little Snickers feeds the hungry
- Your Phone, laptap and all the accessories – no one likes to miss that charger
- A book to read – you may prefer to just walk around but a book is the best company.
- Spectacles – if like me, you see the world from those glasses, never miss keeping a spare pair or your contacts
- Daily utility stuff – face-wash, tooth-brush, comb etc.
Yes, then there are clothes, shoes, cosmetics and what not – but if you have the essentials, you are all set to travel. Travelling is fun if you are covered and this list ensures I am. 🙂
Tell me what more would you add to this so that when I return back to India, I have a better list!

Thank you Corinne! Did I tell you, I am loving doing a Bullet Journal? It’s a pretty simple version but I like it 🙂

Actually, it’s a personal travel but that shows miss shows the lack of focus on health I agree, it’s very important!

Have a great trip. And you have got it all. Being a frequent traveler and a list enthusiast, all these feature in my list of essentials too. I write important phone numbers in a notepad too, that’s when battery is critical and there’s no charging point nearby!

I did that too! VT’s number on the notepad – I haven’t memorized it yet 😛

Safe travels!
I keep a master packing list. Then, for each trip, I open it and make a new copy, and then delete anything I don’t need for the particular trip/season. So I never forget things now. Though I did add backup glasses to my list this summer. It wasn’t on there and I had deep regrets when I needed spare glasses and I was away from home.

I always like to carry a foldable bag for extra storage, a plastic bag to keep my soiled clothes, a sewing kit just incase, some safety pins and travel insurance
