Something that I enjoy while being on the road is clicking city signages and what is the city known for. I have observed that most cities in India have a nickname sort of short phrase shown up on the such boards which is of interest most of the times.
Look what I clicked recently – my question is, if this is a case of misplaced adjective or missing verb.
Not being a Grammar Nazi but I would love to say Chandigarh – The Beautiful City. What are your thoughts?

A Rosé will not smell less Sweet if it’s called by another Name . We Punjabis have been so used to seeing and listening Chandigarh as City Beautiful that we are not bothered about grammatical mistakes !!!!

I don’t about grammar but I like the way it is. It adds a zing. Punjabiyan di shaan vakri…I have a beautiful blog on my experiences of Chandigarh, the city beautiful. It really is tge city beautiful, isn’t it?

Chandigarh gets the special and unique place when refered as The City Beautiful,A beautiful city is a common adjective and does not convey much apart from it’s routine meaning.It is a poetical reference when called as”‘ The City Beautiful.
