Search engines are smart. They auto-populate results while you type and try to look out for some information. Have you ever wondered how the auto-populate function works? Well, sometimes, it is about your web history, your preferences online, your comments on social networking sites, shopping selections and it also throws up “the most searched” search results. A search engine may just use an algorithm based on what people around the world prefer.
Last week, this particular piece of information hit my eye and as a responsible “female” blogger I wanted to share with you all. When you look around, there is discrimination in some little form or larger. Sometimes it comes as a passing joke, sometimes as a real hard straight on your face kinds but it does. These images were a part of an ad campaign developed for UN Women and they are shocking. They remind us that a lot needs to be done for women. So, two things – as a woman do not accept any form of discrimination. Stand up for yourself. As a man, look within and around you. Treat women with dignity and never discriminate.
I am participating in National Blog Posting Month – NaBloPoMo, and this is Post #22. A pledge to write daily during November to hone my skills, challenge myself, and taking this blog to the next level. Wish me luck and share ideas that you would want to read!
This is also 3/nth post on Sunday Punch!

I tried to check the things you’ve searched using men instead of women, and I have to agree you are right. It is sad that modernisation has remained confined to clothes and technology, and hasn’t yet broadened people’s mindset.
Great post. Hope we soon see a world where everyone is treated equal.

Thanks Kiran. I totally agree with you. People are yet to become modern in their thoughts. These images were a part of ad campaign initiated by UN Women and the reality is harsh and sad.

Thanks for stopping by Indrani.I think, let’s walk and talk the change – at our places, homes, community and drive people to think differently. There cannot be a giant step to change. It has to begin small.
