A little more about women and this time it is about “Women in Workplace”. The info-graphics that you see below represents the data from last year (March 2014).
We have come a long way and we need to keep going for better!
When I took up Mathematics in standard 11, we were 2 girls in a class of 15(13%), in engineering college we were 10 in a class of 60(16%), when I started working I was the only one in a team of 6 (16%). Fast forward to 10 years later today- I see women at ~30% which certainly feels good.

True, at junior levels there are many females. Something also to do with company policy of hiring a certain % as females. Even now, on a team outing / meeting, I am one of the few females on the team.

When we give a birth we wait another 2 yearso take a promotion, when wifes of men gie birth they immediately take the promotion. The conflict starts right from this point.

I agree with you in some ways. Women need to prove themselves back again when they come back from maternity. But men don’t have to excuse them selves from work to give birth or feed the baby. More of Mother Nature’s way and hence I am hesitant to call it a conflict. But yes, the differences do come in right at that point. Thank you for stopping by and welcome to my blog. 🙂
