When I first heard about the A to Z challenge, I did not know that it is such a popular one among bloggers. Only once I signed up, I started receiving posts on the challenge and then the entire idea of blogging in this unique fashion struck. The first post that I read on the topic was Shailaja’s and she spoke about her lessons from the past. Well, this was the post that got me going in the direction. I am yet to start writing my posts and I need to start scheduling them but I know that unlike any other challenge that I have taken, I am better prepared for this one. No the preparation is not just cos I want to publish on 26 days of April and the posts will be on topics from A to Z! It’s about having the time in my hands to be able to read, interact, learn and engage with the community.
Taking up a blogging challenge is a stretch in all ways possible but at the same time, it is also a great way to
- learn,
- test your capabilities and
- keeping the blog’s readers engaged about the content you are going to publish.
And with this idea in mind, I am all set to give you some happiness and a lot of food for thought this April. The theme for my first A to Z challenge will be set on something that is close to me cos that’s who I am. I am a woman. I will talk about women in India for the sole reason that I am exposed to the women in this country but as I will get to share over the 26 days, you will see that in many ways women across countries will be able to relate to what I write. We will have a mixed bag – some posts will make you smile and feel good while others will leave you thinking and reflecting. Through my posts, I am hoping to bring about a little awareness and a some positive change.
My theme is a simple one but I feel this is a small package with a lot of potential to help women be better and know things better. To all you men out there, do not think that I am not inclusive enough. With your support, as a woman I know we can tread on the rough terrain together and while I hold your hand to support you, you will stand behind me when I need you. We are in this journey together where our aim is a better world.
Let’s rock the A to Z challenge!
I am taking up the April A to Z Challenge. Do leave your thoughts. They sure will motivate me.
Looking forward to it Parul and now your post just reminded me, I need a theme too! I am participating too! 🙂 Best Wishes!

This sounds like a lovely theme. I’m looking forward to learning more about India (and not just the India I know from classical works…) It’s great that you’re mixing in serious and playful.
