So, when the verdict from SCOTUS came on Friday, it was history made and we were all witness to such an incredible day.

  1. Its really a great decision and will surely change lives for the better. If only our country also followed the same. Hopefully, it will come about in few years. In India, the problem is LGBT are considered as criminals due to the draconian Section 377. And so, their are less visible. I wish a few homophobes will get over it and let others live.

    1. I was reading a tweet and it said while US is moving towards Marriage Equality India is still struggling to get past the caste, religion barrier when it comes to marriage. Honor killings and what not. Sorry to say but India has a long way to go and I may sound negative but giving such kind of freedom in India may not happen in my lifetime ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

  2. That’s a great decision. But sadly in India, the LGBT community still suffer bias, torture, troubles and a huge number of problems at every level in their lives. There’s so much more which needs to be done to improve their well being.

    1. Yes! You are right. One wikipedian’s article was deleted from Wikipedia cos we are still not open to such issues. Can you imagine that? We don’t even have the freedom to write and express support.

      1. That’s really depressing to be honest. And that’s where I had the problem with people putting up colourful DPs on FB. I mean if in our own country people are not treated normally, what is the pride?
