My Sunday was unique this time and I did something that I had always wanted to do – Yoga in Cubbon Park.
Cubbon Park was created in 1870 in Bangalore, India and is spread over 300 acres boasting of many trees and beautifully maintained patches. This park is open for general public all the year round and many activities are organized there – horticulture exhibitions, photography competitions, marathons, cyclathons, yoga sessions, pet activities and much more.
This time along with some friends I got an opportunity to participate in a Yoga session that was organized in Cubbon Park. I was excited the moment I saw the map of the location – under tree #695. Yoga session was wonderful but what was even more wonderful was the entire serene space.
I could hear the chirping birds, every breath filled my lungs with loads of fresh air and when I opened my eyes there was just greenery around. Sun was trying to sneak in from between the leaves of Tree #695 and it was so pleasant that I have promised myself to never miss another chance like this.
Sunday morning was never so beautiful!
I am tagging this post for both #MicroblogMondays and #MondayMusings.
Sounds wonderful, Parul. In our new house here we have garden. I am gonna try yoga outside once the sun is out. 🙂

Sounds wonderful. There is something about exercising out in the open that is very refreshing. All I have managed as of now is the occasional walk. Must try yoga sometime.

Cubbon park makes any activity fun I think. The atmosphere is such. 🙂 I’d go jogging than yoga though.

Ah, yes! When we stayed on Lavelle Road, I used to frequent Cubbon Park. Now it’s a bit too far for me. But yes, it’s the perfect ambience for the outdoor-sy us 🙂

This made me imagine how it would feel like conducting group yoga and opening eyes in a huge theater where Bahubali is being screened in mute mode 😛

Yoga in such lovely natural surroundings. Now that’s the best way to spend a relaxing weekend :). I have come many a time to Bangalore but never got a chance to go to Cubbon Park despite having heard a lot about it.
