I love “Moon watching” and since the time I can remember, almost no day goes by for me without seeing the Moon.
The thin crescent as on Eid, or the full one on Raksha Bandhan, recently the beautiful one on Guru Poornima and this orange one that I couldn’t click. That half-moon or just that moonlight in my bedroom or like peeping Tom behind the clouds – The Moon intrigues me every single day.
Counting rings around the Moon and predicting the weather or hating to not see the Moon when the clouds take over, sometimes I think so want to zoom in and see it bigger. The calmness that surrounds it and the peace it brings, Moon has its moods.
I know it’s a celestial body but I don’t want to see it that way. For me, Moon is existence, moon is proof of living on Earth and if no one else, moon is watching and following me where ever I go..
Thank you Sid for allowing me to use your picture. It’s so beautiful that you have to tell me what camera do you use?:) Kidding! You have the skills dude!
I am tagging this post for both #MicroblogMondays and #MondayMusings.
Such love for the moon…Aww! 🙂
Happy to see someone use the photo in such a lovely post!

That is my favourite celestial body, too, Parul! I too love the moon, esp because my mother is named after the moon -Indu. And she too loves admiring the moon in it’s every stage.

Such a gorgeous pic… You do love the moon! The only time I seek it out is on Karwachauth.. That is once an year… I love sighting of the moon though… Have you looked at the moon on kojagiri poornima? It is said to be the most beautiful full moon of the year…

Beautiful post and even more beautiful picture. I like watching the moon too. When I was young mom would take me to the terrace, show me the moon, and feed me my dinner. I loved that special time of ours.

A beautiful frame that and I like to sit at my balcony and stare at the moon sometimes. The feeling of nothingness is sometimes very calming!

I’ve never been so fond of the moon, but it affects me emotionally, i.e. my moods. Full moon leaves me in deep melancholy usually. I like the Sun, especially the rising and setting sun. Not so fond of stars either.

Really? I love full moon and it makes me happy! Rising and setting Sun is beautiful too but I usually won’t go look out for Sun but Moon, I would search everywhere 🙂

I love moon watching as do the kids. When they were younger we’d wait for it to come up each evening. It really is a beautiful sight. This one though is something else – amazingly pretty. This Sid is good with the camera :-).

Moon watching one of my favorite things to do too, and I love La Lune in its increasing and decreasing avatars. Also love photographing it.
One of my most favourite romantic Hindi songs is shot under the moon where it has been used as a ‘third’ one watching the lovers so beautifully – warms me always – Nargis and Raj Kapoor singing ‘dum bhar Jo udhar mooh phere…’

Arunima doesn’t mean moon. It means the red glow of dawn. Since you liked the various colors I mentioned it here.
