I got to know about Photo Friday from Laurel’s blog, Alphabet Salad this evening. The timing couldn’t have been better. With slight frozen shoulders, when I was about to give up on today’s writing, her post was the best thing that happened. Thanks Laurel!
This picture was clicked in January 2014 when VT participated in Oxfam Bangalore and walked 100 kms in 27.5 hours. I was a part of his support crew and I got to see the villages of South India during those hours.

For Day 13 of NaBloPoMo and NoMo, I am participating in Photo Friday for the first time. This week’s challenge is ‘Rural‘.
Wonderful photo! What a great experience that must have been for both of you.

You have a lovely smile, Parul! 🙂 Welcome to Photo Friday. Laurel was my inspiration, as well.
That must have been an amazing race. I’ll return later and read the whole story. Have a good weekend.

It’s beautiful. I find the rural set up very soothing and peaceful. Reminds me of the rural life in South Goa:)

Amazing! That is a walk I would have enjoyed, if it wasn’t too hilly – so different from what I am used to, and for a good cause. (And, I have never walked 60 miles – not consecutively, anyway.)

I did not walk. VT did and lost quite a few kgs. He had become slim like me 😀

Whoa, 100 kms :O! Now that must be some walk. But I am sure that in walks like this you get to see so much of the countryside and life in general :).
