Theme Reveal 2016
2016 Theme Reveal

2015 was the first time I attempted the A to Z Challenge and my experience was wonderful. Towards the end of the challenge, I knew I will keep coming back to participate. Well, this is 2016 and I am glad it’s happening again.

Blogging challenges are no doubt a stretch. But in a good way. It’s flexing that brain which has got accustomed to think of either work or groceries. It’s a stretch for the mind and the energies are put to right use. With work, home and life all around, these blogging challenges ensure that I find time to keep everything aside and write.

In 2015, I had decided to be better prepared but no posts are scheduled yet and I can see that I will have to write almost every day during April. However, what’s good is that like last year, I know what I will bring to you. Deciding on a theme has taken some pressure off me.

2015 was about women issues. Some concerns were India/South East Asia specific while some were International. Writing those 26 posts brought me closer to the reality of the women around the world. While it hurt to see the plight, there was a light of awareness and knowledge.

In April 2016, I will give you food for thought and yes, we will again talk about women. But this time, we will try to look at rays of hope that want to brighten lives of women. Some posts will make you question the need or sound absurd but take them as they are. Posts that may mean nothing to you because of your geography or it may make you think of something similar back home. A voice. A belief. An idea.

Through my posts, I am hoping to bring some more awareness and spread a positive cheer.

Will you be around to cheer and encourage as I take on the journey this April?

I am taking up the April A to Z Challenge for the second time. This time I am also fortunate to be on the team of one of the co-hosts Pam Brown Margolis @ An Unconventional Librarian.

So there is a lot of work and a lot of fun coming up soon. Stay tuned!

All the best, and don’t worry. Even I haven’t started writing anything for the challenge, so maybe I’ll have to take the challenge in its original spirit, one day at a time!

  4. Last year, I learned a lot from your posts. Some were pretty tough though. I am glad you’re again choosing women’s issues as your theme but providing a positive outlook. I look forward to enjoying your posts.

  6. What an interesting theme. This is a topic that I have lately been contemplating. You push it to the back of your mind and sometimes it is just there to be explored. Great topic.

  7. I don’t think I found your blog on last year’s challenge. I am happy to have found it this year, I love the sound of your topic, and I have added you to my “to visit” list for April. Good luck 🙂

      1. Nice meeting you in #azchat. This time I wrote drafts of all my posts and scheduled them. I wanted to visit many blogs. Could do that number. Now every day I shall try to visit 30 to 40. That way I can see all blogs at least once during April if every thing goes normal at my end. Otherwise I shall visit them in later months. The diversity of themes is really good in this challenge.
