Theme Reveal 2016
2016 Theme Reveal

2015 was the first time I attempted the A to Z Challenge and my experience was wonderful. Towards the end of the challenge, I knew I will keep coming back to participate. Well, this is 2016 and I am glad it’s happening again.

Blogging challenges are no doubt a stretch. But in a good way. It’s flexing that brain which has got accustomed to think of either work or groceries. It’s a stretch for the mind and the energies are put to right use. With work, home and life all around, these blogging challenges ensure that I find time to keep everything aside and write.

In 2015, I had decided to be better prepared but no posts are scheduled yet and I can see that I will have to write almost every day during April. However, what’s good is that like last year, I know what I will bring to you. Deciding on a theme has taken some pressure off me.

2015 was about women issues. Some concerns were India/South East Asia specific while some were International. Writing those 26 posts brought me closer to the reality of the women around the world. While it hurt to see the plight, there was a light of awareness and knowledge.

In April 2016, I will give you food for thought and yes, we will again talk about women. But this time, we will try to look at rays of hope that want to brighten lives of women. Some posts will make you question the need or sound absurd but take them as they are. Posts that may mean nothing to you because of your geography or it may make you think of something similar back home. A voice. A belief. An idea.

Through my posts, I am hoping to bring some more awareness and spread a positive cheer.

Will you be around to cheer and encourage as I take on the journey this April?

I am taking up the April A to Z Challenge for the second time. This time I am also fortunate to be on the team of one of the co-hosts Pam Brown Margolis @ An Unconventional Librarian.

So there is a lot of work and a lot of fun coming up soon. Stay tuned!

  1. J here, stopping by from the #atozchallenge – where I am part of Arlee Bird’s A to Z Ambassador Team.
Excellent choice for an A to Z challenge theme. Good job. My theme is the craft of fiction writing. Tips, lessons, and prompts from various writing reference books. I follow it up with a sample of my work.
Your theme of food and women has two things I know little about, but am always looking to learn. Should be fun.
April should be exciting. I’m looking forward to the event. Best of luck to us both on meeting our goals of posting and hopping to other blogs.
My blog has a giveaway. There’s a bonus a to z challenge each day to encourage people to visit more stops.

  2. I remember your posts from last year, Parul and was somewhat shocked how poorly women are treated in your part of the world. Looking forward to a more upbeat and positive outlook this time around. Good luck with the challenge!
