It was just another day at work and over lunch conversations, we were talking about how hot Bangalore is. Temperatures are soaring each passing day and how keeping ourselves hydrated is so important. I added on my tea consumption and that has gone down to one each day. It was just then that an email notification popped up. Universe listens all the time and I couldn’t help but smile at the timing.
The team of Assam1860, which is a newly launched black tea brand from James Warren Tea Estates, wanted to send me a free sample in return for an honest review.
Happiness is hot ginger tea and in my household, it is the only beverage that brews till the house is filled with aroma. Our first drink of the day has to be a ginger tea and I step out for Yoga only I have had my cup at a leisurely pace.
Of course, I said yes to the offer.
Within three days, I had a small artistically designed green box at home waiting to be unboxed. Colorful and representative of the contents within, I liked the packaging. Tastefully done, five teabags were packed along with a typed letter and even the insides of the pack had printed information about the company.
I was just then back from work and I decided to make myself the first cup of this new-at-home tea. The tea bag was not the usual paper one. It had a soft cloth holding a measured amount of aromatic tea and could be a form of silk. With my usual addition of ginger and sugar, the tea brewed to perfection within minutes and filled my little home with its aroma.

Reading about the company and the way it does business, garden fresh tea is in your cup within no time. The color, the flavor is all so good that I am already thinking of placing an order. Very few new products are of the kind that can make one ditch the old brand at home and that will happen at home.
The only thing that could have been better is competitive pricing and I give it to the organic way this tea is prepared and packed for the end-user.

If you would like to try, you can place your order at Amazon | Paytm | Assam1860 Website. Do let me know how your cup turned out to be and if you visit my place, know that you will be offered this one.
And before I forget to tell you, I am back to my usual two cups of tea a day.
This is not a paid review. I was sent the samples in return for an honest review by the team of Assam1860.
Sweet! There is nothing like a hot cup of refreshing tea! Tea is one thing I’d have even if it was one of those scorching-hot summer days! The Assam1860 tea sure looks enticing. 🙂

I love tea to the core, have one in the mornings itself…that doubles up over the weekends, with one late in the afternoons.
Seems they might do good in the Indian market, where many long for such aromatic delectables.

Yes, you are right. With our usual brands the aroma is lost and this one is such a welcome change 🙂

In the United States, tea is a popular beverage (but not as popular as it is in your part of the world, I suspect.) In hot weather, we like to drink it cold with ice cubes.

I love tea and my day starts with a nice hot cuppa as well. Hopefully someday it will make its way to NZ. Until then will have to make do with Dilmah.
