These officers are partners right from the time they are recruited.
One afternoon, during my commute to the other work location, I saw them crossing the road. They were in sync, their steps were measured and they were focussed on the task in hand. No smiles and no distractions. No smartphones and no chatting. No photos and selfies. Just the duty and their dedication.
As I think of these young cadets, I admire how much they do for the nation. Leaving their families and working hard each day, they lead a tough life. These officers train hard in all sorts of conditions to keep us safe.
The least we can do for them is to abide by laws, maintain peace and smile when we see them. If it were not for them, we would not have a good sleep night after night.
Hats off to these young men!

Really nice post. These are the guys who do so much so that we go about our daily lives without a care in the world. Nothing but utmost respect for them!

One of the most moving moments are watching the passing out parade at the NDA or watching our young men march down RajPath on Republic Day. So I understand your sentiment completely.

Salute to the men in uniform who often do not enjoy good conditions of work and ensure that we live peacefully. Hope, authorities make life easier for them.

So many Indians have such negative things to say about the men and women working in law and enforcement. Not to say that there aren’t bad elements in these professions, but that is true for people in all lines of work and all professions. So good to see such a respectful post as a salute for our hardworking police men and women. Thanks for this, Parul! Salute to all the men and women in uniform serving the country!

Thanks, Beloo. You are right that elements of kinds are in every profession. We need to do better at a lot of places but we also need to appreciate the hard work that’s put it. Recognition is a motivation for anyone.

Bravo to them all! I agree that they should be commended for putting their lives on the line to protect citizens. Often they don’t get any appreciation and only get abuse. It’s the same way in North America, too. Kind of you to acknowledge them.

It’s amazing what the military training will do. I saw it first hand with my husband, many many years ago.

I guess we manage to forget the contribution of these bravehearts as we go about our daily lives, complete with minor bickerings that we forget the next day. This post is a reminder that there are people who face much greater problems, and yet they never hesitate to fulfill their duties with a firm commitment.
Thank you Parul for this post! 😃
