I am a Principal.
Managing the school, the staff, and the children,
My work is my inspiration.
Classes, examinations, and admissions,
Sometimes, I take strict actions.
I make the rules and I lead by example,
To build careers, I take informed decisions.
Staying strict yet being kind,
I always keep personal interests behind.
My students are the future of India,
And I keep that in mind.
Many responsibilities keep me busy,
To do the right thing for my school, I am always ready.
I am a Principal.

I’ve admired principals the way I have admired doctors. Such important, responsible positions both and some of them carry it off with real aplomb.
Nice little poem there to capture the daily grind 🙂

I find Principals always intimidating. Perhaps because I’ve always been the troublemaker at school 😛
But I sure admire the way you’ve captured the daily activities that she engages in.

This reminds me of our Principal Ma’am!!! As kids, we were all really scared of her and admired her at the same time.

Principals have to be real strict since they are responsible for so many aspects of the school. When I was in the primary classes and used to miss school, my father always had this habit of addressing the leave applications to the Principal and to get those applications signed by her was the hardest part. So I began writing the leave applications on my own free to address those to the class teachers.

Principals hold such important position of responsibility. It made me remember my principal, she was friendly and would interact with kids as well as she had a very strong voice to scare you out.

Never ever think of the role they play. When in school I always used to fear the principal. Was of the opinion that all they did was shout at kids. But I know now that the role they play is vital for the school to function and for us to learn.
