It is not enough to be busy. So are the ants. The question is: What are we busy about?
Henry David Thoreau
Are you busy?
Don’t be.
Prioritize.
Know what to finish and what can wait.
Value your time.
Start saying no.
Think about yourself.
Pause and reflect.
Step out.
Look at the moon.
Smile with the flower.
Watch the bird.
Do something you like.
Read. Write. Call up a friend. Hug someone.
Ask yourself, “what I am doing for myself?”
Life is too short to be too occupied.
Live it while you are at it.
Some food for thought for Day 10 of #NaBloPoMo.

This is such a beautiful reminder and so beautifully written! Thank you. Xoxoxo.

That couldn’t get any simpler! 🙂
I have been preoccupied with a lot of unwanted stuff since the last three-four days. I’ve been missing a lot of reading as well. Your post reminds me that I should get back to my rhythm.

Thanks Shalini! Glad you could relate to this one. After I wrote this I got on a work call and also created a Wikipedia page realising I missed reading 😉 we all need to stop somewhere.

Thats perfect Parul. I say this statement too often. But, now that my maid is on a month long leave, and being laden with work, I am able to manage and also find time for a daily walk even if it is only 10 minutes. Necessity forced me to change my ways. Really, no one should be too busy to take care of oneself.

There is that fine balance, no? Between being there for yourself and for others. And taking some time out for yourself.
Interesting way to get the thoughts across, Parul

I agree to that completely. There is a balance between selfless and selfish. Thanks, Sid.

Definitely food for thought…I think I’m way too busy and need to just chill and be in the moment. Because when I do, I enjoy myself a whole lot more.

Prioritization and saying no holds the key I guess . Great one Parul. Posts like these make you pause and look back and reflect and start afresh. Thanks for this

Absolutely Parul! No one should be too busy. With the baby and Kanna’s school half an hour drive away, our week days are way too busier than it used to be. So we are depending on weekends to finish many tasks. Prioritizing to get stuff done. I don’t like being this busy. I need time for myself. 🙂
