Trees are poems that the earth writes upon the sky.
― Kahlil Gibran
There is something about trees that I have started to fall in love with. I cannot point the exact reason but I do think of resilience and standing the test of time whenever I look up to a tree.
I see how a tree spreads its branches wherever it finds a way and is flexible in all ways possible. Nothing limits its growth and that it accepts what comes its way. It stands tall and lets others relax beneath it. Its green leaves add color and life to the surrounding. A tree also grounds itself and draws strength from within. It is friendly and mixes with other trees around. Letting its leaves sway in whatever direction depending on the wind but still staying put.
There is a lot we can learn from trees.
For the love of trees will be a new photo feature on this blog. Nothing regular about it like the trunk of a tree but it will be rooted like one. The first image in the series is of a tree in Andamans. Today’s post is also tagged to Wordless Wednesday #47.

Wow….Such observations.
Just wow!!

Such a beautiful thought, Parul. Truth be told I hardly ever stop to think about trees or for that matter nature the way you do. But I do agree when you say trees represent resilience

Love the quote Parul. I love trees for the scenic greenery, and associate it with both gentle and strength. Contradictory but in appearance, they are so gentle, one with everything around, while rooted deep 🙂

That was some real thinking resonating with the trees. I will tell you since I am not a camera friendly person, more than taking the photos of tress I love to gaze at them. I loved going to Indiranagar until a few months ago because of the number of old trees which dawn the roads. I also have a thing about leafless trees, about their days of glory and what all they must have seen over the years.

Good to learn that you love trees too! I have a project in my mind related to trees on my blog, which I hope to take up soon. I started few posts on trees, but then there’s so much happening that I lost out on that. I’m happy that i’ll be able to read your posts on trees, regularly! 🙂
