Q for Quotes on women #AtoZChallenge

quotes

Today, I have got you some quotes that I love on women. Just a little dose of inspiration for you. And, no I am not mistaken. I know today is not Women’s Day.

“A woman is like a tea bag – you can’t tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water.”
― Eleanor Roosevelt

“In politics, If you want anything said, ask a man. If you want anything done, ask a woman.”
― Margaret Thatcher

“Why are women… so much more interesting to men than men are to women?”
― Virginia Woolf

“I measure the progress of a community by the degree of progress which women have achieved.”
― B. R. Ambedkar

“You educate a man; you educate a man. You educate a woman; you educate a generation.”
― Brigham Young

“When looking for a life partner, my advice to women is date all of them: the bad boys, the cool boys, the commitment-phobic boys, the crazy boys. But do not marry them. The things that make the bad boys sexy do not make them good husbands. When it comes time to settle down, find someone who wants an equal partner. Someone who thinks women should be smart, opinionated and ambitious. Someone who values fairness and expects or, even better, wants to do his share in the home. These men exist and, trust me, over time, nothing is sexier.”
— Sheryl Sandberg

“Because I am a woman, I must make unusual efforts to succeed. If I fail, no one will say, “She doesn’t have what it takes.” They will say, “Women don’t have what it takes.”
– Clare Boothe Luce

“I’m tough, I’m ambitious, and I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, okay.”
― Madonna

“Like a compass needle that points north, a man’s accusing finger always finds a woman. Always.”
― Khaled Hosseini

“A dame that knows the ropes isn’t likely to get tied up.”
― Mae West

“Every woman that finally figured out her worth, has picked up her suitcases of pride and boarded a flight to freedom, which landed in the valley of change.”
― Shannon L. Alder

“I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life’s a bitch. You’ve got to go out and kick ass!”
―Maya Angelou

Do you have a quote that you would like to share with me? Which one did you like the most?

This is one of the first ones I found and I like it the best. I know it is true about cats. Yours are good quotes too. Thanks for the post.

  3. I love seeing peoples favourite quote and quotes about women are some of the best and inspiring in my opinion. I love the Eleanor Roosevelt one and hadn’t heard the Clare Boothe Luce, it’s unfortunate how true that one is.

  4. I love them – love them all. There’s one that goes something like ‘Women don’t need to have power over men. They need to have power over themselves’. It makes so much sense, isn’t it?
