If you ever end up searching for best beaches in India, Radhanagar Beach will show up on the top. It is one of the most famous in the Havelock island and known for its beautiful stretch of white sand and turquoise water.
If the fear of missing out (FOMO) while on travel is real, this beach on the Havelock island is the one to give jitters if you miss visiting. We visited the Radhanagar beach twice and on both days at different times.
I think the Sun and its reflection and position in the sky changes a lot of things. Both for the human eye and her experience.
Here are a few facts so that you get to know this beach better:
- This beach is on the south coast of the Havelock Island.
- It is also known as Number 7 Beach.
- In 2014, TIME named Radhanagar beach as the “Best Beach in Asia”.
- It has been ranked 8th amongst the best beaches in the world.
Leaving you with some pictures from both of our visits to this beautiful beach.
Day 1, Sunset at the beach:
Day 2, A late morning at the beach:
On both my visits, I felt that I had lost myself to the beauty of the beach yet found myself in many ways. The stillness within and the sound of the waves created ripples in my heart and mind. I understood that while I may not dive, I will never be contented with the sky, water and the sand. No wonder, ‘sun and sand’ speaks to its name.
This beach is a slice of heaven.
There is a lot more to Andamans than what meets the eye. Andaman Adventures documents my travel tales and all personal stories from one of my most memorable travels ever.

Thanks for sharing info about this beach. Photos add more beauty to the post.

Spoke my mind Parul. I decided not to get in the water before visiting Radhanagar. When I reached there and I saw the pristine sands and the turquoise water I jumped in. It was just so so so clean! Not even a shell on the beach! It’s truly one of the best beaches. My only regret is not visiting it again for sunset. Went to kala pathar beach. You have captured the sunset colours so well!

I always tell people. Sunset/sunrise is never the same. These pictures are amazing. I have been planning a trip to Andamans since quite a while. But the packages all seemed too expensive. Did you go with a team or something?

We went on our own. There is a travel company in Bangalore who helped us plan. Very budget travel. Send me a mail and I’ll share more details. 🙂
