For the last couple of years, I have been taking up the #100HappyDays project. Initially, the hassle of posting on social media for 100 days in a row sounded hard. But with time I realized that using media to post is just a means to track.
As a person, I can be happy about little things that surround me. My plants, this blog, little cooking experiments, work that brings me joy and accomplishment and love from friends and family. I do not wait for big events to make me happy. They will take their own sweet time. Small ones are around us all day long. #100HappyDays has hence always been a joy this side.
This year too, I finished the challenge. It was fun and a few of my friends also tracked the days with me making it a more enjoyable experience.
So what did I learn from the #100HappyDays project?
Here are 7 lessons that I want to share with you.
- Finding joy in mundane things that we take for granted.
- Noticing the extraordinary in the ordinary.
- Tracking your mood and what lifts it up.
- Making today matter – both at work and in personal life.
- Following your heart.
- Making others smile.
- Understanding that there is a positive angle to each situation.
You may think that these things are all superficial. However, once you commit to the challenge and let it grow on you, it becomes a habit. I may just do a #365HappyDays project and why not? Life is meant to experienced. It’s a journey and if we don’t make it meaningful for ourselves and those who love us, what’s the point?
The 2nd edition of #BarAThon has started and this is post #1 of the challenge.

Truer word were never spoken. I was just talking today to a friend how important it is for me to have my peace of mind.
Wish you loads of love n luck in this pact n many more…… Loved n agree with every point of your learning. Cheers 😊

Happiness is the state of mind and mind needs conditioning to be happy! As rightly mentioned by you, we need not wait for the big events to be happy and also not be dependent on others to keep us happy. The happiness is all within and only person that can keep u happy is you yourself!

Congrats for completing the #100HappyDays challenge! Isnt it amazing to note that one does not have to go far to look for happiness. Happiness is all around us. Our task is to gently brush away the dust and find it. I am tempted to take up this challenge. Oh, I am starting it from today. Thanks for inspiring, Parul. ♥

Congrats Parul thats so nice to hear, and agree that its the small little things that makes a huge difference, happiness is an inside job, and its also a decision. Happy people are not free from problems; its just that they try to see the positive side of every difficult situation. Thanks for inspiring !!

I took part in #100happydays on Instagram and you are spot on with the things you learn. Appreciating the little things is so important. I’m currently doing another challenge on instagram where each day you get a prompt word. It really makes you look at your surroundings.
