I had thought I would need another vacation to recover from the vacation I took. But, I am surprised that I am excited to be back home and jump to work.
One thing that I missed the most was writing. Okay, let’s call it blogging and connecting with readers on this space.
I used my little notebook to write about the drives of each day and then the names of places we stayed at. I captured the kilometers we covered and the highlights of the day. Over twelve days on the road and in a different terrain every day was fun and most adventurous ever.
As I sit and type this, the mess at home feels mine. The unpacked bags are all around but I am in no rush. The chaos, traffic, and chores are normal. This is the life I live and here’s where I come home to.
How do you feel after a vacation?
We came back last night after a long road trip and I am happy to be home. I am tagging today’s post to MicroblogMondays #157 and this picture of our map on Day 1 to Mundane Monday #124.
I am glad that you are safely back home. Your trip deserves a separate post.

I am glad you enjoyed your vacation. Do share more about it here, on your blog. Would love to read it!

I’m glad you feel like this after a holiday: it’s the ideal way to feel! Unfortunately I felt the opposite after my holiday this year. Two weeks in a different house, a lovely historic building in a small medieval hilltown, with a new, leisurely routine – when I came back to reality and daily full-time work I was severely depressed. Obviously this means that changes need to be made…. I think that when you can say what you have said in this piece, then you are truly content!

Sometimes I feel more tired after vacation. All that traveling around and going from place to place can tire me out no matter how slow I go – and I think that’s because my mind likes to work fast to take in as much things as possible 😀 Hope you get some rest after your trip and don’t stress yourself out at work. Take care and looking forward to hearing about your trip 🙂

It depends on the break. If I plan it well, I can come home seamlessly like that. If I don’t plan it well, it feels like all the relaxation floats out the door.
Welcome back!

Parul, I love going on vacations. Recently, I traveled to LEH-LADAKH, it was a solo trip for me, my first one 🙂 I had a great time but when I got back it was a different feeling altogether. I was happy to be back, relieved to not have fallen sick while out there alone, thrilled to have conquered my fears though I missed the beauty of the hills. I want to go away to a new destination soon 🙂

After a vacation, I always come back home in Zen mode. Nothing bothers me and I take my own time to get used to getting back to the grind. Usually I let the vacation mode linger for a week atleast.

Welcome back home, i meant the home home and your blogging home.
After a vacation, I am in that mood and I am sort of lazy to go back to anywhere that reminds me of reality! 😉
So I always want vacations after vacations! 😀

I got back from a road trip around the same time. I dropped off my daughter at college and watched the eclipse that was visible from the western US. It was a long drive, and I feel like I want to stay put for a while now!
