Small wonder

Who doesn’t like flowers?

When I spotted this small wonder on the Laitlum Hills in Shillong, I was amazed by how little they were. That color too was mesmerizing against the green-brown background.

Sometimes I think that the most beautiful things are too small to notice. Our urge to see the big things makes us miss these little things. However, if we start noticing our surroundings, we will realize that there is lot around us that’s beautiful.

I am joining Esha and Natasha for #WordlessWednesday today and this post is my #67.

  1. These flowers indeed are sp pretty. And so very true. we fail to look at beauty in the small things. Beauty lies scattered all across us, yet our eyes search only for the bigger ones

  2. Absolutely gorgeous ! I guess we are so busy with the “ business of living “ that we have no time to focus on what most may pass off as inconsequential .
There is so much beauty all around us but no time to stand and stare ! Reminds me of the poem Leisure
    by W. H. Davies (1871-1940)

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.

No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars like skies at night.

No time to turn at Beauty’s glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.

No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

    1. Thank you for stopping by! I still miss Mundane Mondays. 😦
So when I worked on the privacy policy the comment part got fixed. Kind of two shots with one arrow. I’m glad you observed it. I think it makes the game better for bloggers.
I have your latest post already open on my office laptop 😉 so I’ll see you there soon.

  6. Oh the flowers and their color! They look so good and it sure does make us look at the beauty in small things.

Also, small wonder would be a great way to describe you as well ❤
