She wore a smile

I have lived in Bangalore for over 12 years but never got a chance to visit the Bull temple. This October when I visited the temple, this lady welcomed us with a beautiful smile. She took care of people’s shoes before they went into the temple. She wasn’t issuing any tickets or asking for money.

After the visit to the temple, I asked her if I could take her picture. She agreed and I got a good shot. I showed her the picture, hugged her and told her that her smile was beautiful.

She wore her smile

Linking with Esha and Natasha for #WordlessWednesday today and #74 for me.

  1. She does have a very beautiful smile! The frame is so well captured, Parul. You’re getting better and better at portrait photography. There’s something about monochrome and magic that I simply love in portraits. Keep up the good work, and thank you so much for joining us for #ww this week. 🙂

  2. SUCH a gorgeous shot, Parul. I love how you’ve captured the depth of her soul in this. So much joy, warmth and compassion here. By the way do you know that the photographer’s emotions transmit to the subject? So it’s probably the warmth in your face that is being reflected here. Will see if I can find that article and send it to you.

  3. How nice to think that while she took care of your slippers you could pray in peace. It is indeed rather disconcerting to find your shoes/slippers missing while you are talking to the Lord!
