“But how could you live and have no story to tell?”
― Fyodor Dostoevsky

On our trip to Central India, we were headed to Maharashtra from Madhya Pradesh and stopped by Mandav. A small town surrounded by stone walls and gateways. The tree is standing by Hindola Mahal, a large meeting hall in the olden days. I know here that the tree is younger than the monument and both have many stories to tell.
Thursday Tree love is a photo feature on this blog hosted on 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. The next edition will be live on April 25, 2019. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog and link it back to this post.
If you don’t see the pingback, please leave a link to your post in my comments section. Please make sure that your post’s link is showing up on this latest edition. I will link your posts on my blog in the next edition and spread some love. Let’s come together to appreciate the beautiful nature around us.

I would love to know the stories that tree could tell, even if it is younger than the monument. Here is my tree (and some local flowers): https://ramblinwitham.blogspot.com/2019/04/johns-pass-and-near-johnson-city.html

How magical it would be if trees could talk, tell us their stories and all that they saw in their lives! We would have so much to learn from them, isn’t it?:)

It would surely be magical. I feel exactly the same, Shilpa. Thank you!

Maybe some day, we’ll understand how to listen to their stories. When I look at this photo, I think how barren it would be without the tree there. It belongs where it is. Here’s my post: https://joannaoftheforest.wordpress.com/2019/04/11/thursday-tree-love-trees-near-the-sea/

Yes this tree would have many a stories to tell; reminds me of the puppets on the tree in Paheli movie who acted as the sutradhaar for the story. If only every old tree had such custodians 🙂
