#ThursdayTreeLove – 71

“We leave something of ourselves behind when we leave a place, we stay there, even though we go away. And there are things in us that we can find again only by going back there.”
― Pascal Mercier

ThursdayTreeLove - 71 is from Tabo, a small village in Spiti Valley.
#ThursdayTreeLove – 71

On our recent trip to Spiti Valley, we were in Tabo for half a day and the night. It’s a small village with a handful population. The place we stayed in had this tree in the owner’s backyard. At first, I did not know that the owner lived in the same house. Then when I noticed, I saw how his family had made peace with the rough weather and altitude. The village was their home. This tree had so many apples that I couldn’t stop admiring.

Thursday Tree love is a photo feature on this blog hosted on 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. The next edition will be live on September 26, 2019. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog and link it back to this post.

  1. A beautiful tree indeed. Being laden with fruits means it must be really happy in that home! I tend to agree with something I heard that trees talk to us.. here it conveys peace and happiness! Here is my tree fhttps://yenforblue.blogspot.com/2019/09/bingo-thursdaytreelove.html

  2. Seeing fruits hanging off trees seems to magical no? I am fascinated by it too and think this fascination stems from the fact that we no longer have that many trees around us to enjoy their beauty. Sad thing to mull on but our green people are dwindling in great numbers and its only when we set out to travel outside of the Urban jungles into the real ones, do we get to see some of this beauty.

  3. I am including a link to my blog from last Friday. The post is about Trees and Paper and how artists make use of paper in different ways. I also write about Pamela Paulsrud and her Tree Project. She holds paper making workshops. The paper circles created become the surface to tell about each person’s experiences with trees. The circles are then connected together in long strings and hung from the ceiling of galleries. https://www.marthaslavin.blogspot.com

    1. Hi Martha – Thank you for stopping by. I loved what you shared about your post but I wasn’t able to visit your blog on my computer or my phone. Seems like some error with the site and its security settings. Can you share the exact post please instead of the blog link? Maybe that will help. Thank you again.
