Little monks who play

Do you remember the trees I shared from a school in Tabo? And that I loved sitting at that main junction of the town?

Our stay at Tabo was a short one. By the time we reached, the monastery had closed. We had to head out the next day so I soaked in every bit of that little town by clicking as many pictures I could.

Tabo’s monastery is one of the oldest in the Himalayan range. We were able to walk around it and I have many memories in my photo archives to share with you all.

This one was a favorite. Kids will be kids.

Side note : VT and I took a road trip to Spiti and Kinnaur valley in August 2019. Read more stories from the trip here.

Linking up with Esha and Natasha for Wordless Wednesday and this is #96 for me.

  1. They are so cute, Parul. This reminded me of my visit to Namdroling Monastery in Coorg. All the monk kids were engaged in an awesome football game. Kids will be kids. 😁

  2. You froze the essence of the moment forever Parul. What a lovely capture.
I remember the thought I had when we visited Leh Ladakh three years back. While visiting the monasteries, I always wondered as to how and what motivates the very young to decide the path of life as a monk at such an early, tender age?

  4. This is such a sweet one! Their clothes and their actions are so incongruous and yet they the very picture of childhood innocence.
