“What sets you apart can sometimes feel like a burden and it’s not. And a lot of the time, it’s what makes you great.” —Emma Stone

Almost around the same time five years ago, we were exploring the Repulse Bay Beach in Hong Kong. This tree then had intrigued me. Memories are a beautiful thing. Do you see the many similar trees all around?
Thursday Tree love is a photo feature hosted on this blog on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of a month. The next edition will go live on October 22, 2020. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog and link it back to this post.
If you don’t see the pingback, please leave a link to your post in my comments section. Please make sure that your post’s link is showing up on this latest edition. I will link your posts on my blog in the next edition and spread some love. Let’s come together to appreciate the beautiful nature around us.
Before you go, don’t forget to check the lovely trees shared on #ThursdayTreeLove – 95:

That quote is so powerful Parul and very true too! I like the way this tree looks all bent and twisty yet the full canopy on top speaks of a healthy tree. The reddish leaves reminds me of the tree I have shared today – wonder if its the same tree?

Those trees are so interesting – nice shade for the beach, but they grow straight out of the sand? And yes, tree memories are good too, especially when we can’t travel!

Beautiful trees… I remember seeing similar ones on the Promenade at Pondicherry. Apt quote to match these hardy trees! Here is my post.. https://yenforblue.com/2020/09/24/autumn-colours-thursdaytreelove/

I think I missed the Promenade ones or maybe it’s been long since I visited Pondicherry. Thanks Archana,

The moment I saw the picture, I thought of Repulse Bay/ Stanley. And reading those lines underneath confirmed the same. Thanks for refreshing my memories. Stanley is certainly different from more popular areas like the TST and Victoria Harbor. Calm and peaceful.

Intriguing, a tree that grows on a sandy beach. No idea what it is; I’ll have to check out Shalzmojo’s post. My tree is a common tree in the state where I live with a fruit we sometimes take for granted. Recipe included! http://ramblinwitham.blogspot.com/2020/09/apple-time-with-recipe-thursdaytreelove.html

I rarely see trees growing from the open sand. This lovely tree must have strong roots. It seems to be peering out over the beach. The quote encourages us to embrace our differences and is much appreciated. I don’t recall ever seeing trees like this on such a sandy terrain, and it makes them look all the more amazing. Beautiful quote to go with the photo – what a perfect paring, Parul!
It’s just about 10pm here in my corner of the world, but I managed to put my post together. It was awesome to have the excuse to spend some time with my photos, after having such a busy week – I really appreciate having Tree Thursday as an excuse to stop and enjoy the trees!
