Since COVID in May, I feel I have changed. There is so much about me that I did not know and this discovery is not heart warming. It’s scary. Every day I tell myself to move on and forward. Accept the new me and that is why this tree is important. Last week, I sat here and had breakfast. It was one of those first when I told myself that I can only control what I can. What I can’t, I shouldn’t even try. Today’s quote is my message to myself.

The tree has survived, twisted as it might be, and all of us are survivors, too, forever changed. Regardless of if we survived this illness, or lost family/friends. we have all been changed. I think we have all discovered ugliness in ourselves, but many of us have also found goodness. This looks so much like a streetside eatery in Pune. I used to go out with the children almost every weekend in the pre-covid days. But like you said you can control only what you can control, so that’s there. Hoping for good times soon.
