“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.”
– Ashley Smith
It has been raining a lot this side. Some days I love the clouds, the incessant pouring and the weather and some days I want the Sun to come out of hiding.
But I do love the rains. I also love drives in rain. With the pandemic, road trips have taken a back seat but then we stepped out for an errand over the weekend and it started pouring. I was day dreaming looking at the rains through the car window when I realized I was actually looking at this tree.
Shots like these are closest to my heart. They tell me that my lens shows me the world I want to see and not the world that actually is.
Thursday Tree love is a photo feature hosted on this blog on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of a month. The next edition will go live on October 28, 2021. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog, tell me where did you spot the tree and link it back to this post.
If you don’t see the pingback, please leave a link to your post in my comments section. Please make sure that your post’s link is showing up on this latest edition. I will link your posts on my blog in the next edition and spread some love. Let’s come together to appreciate the beautiful nature around us.

I think we all see the world we want to see and not the world as it is, and who is to say what the true world is like? We’ve had a lot of time to think about it during the pandemic. Here’s my contribution: https://ramblinwitham.blogspot.com/2021/10/finally-turning-thursdaytreelove.html

Wonderful quote! Every day has its gifts. There’s something exciting and yet cozy about watching the rain from the shelter of a car or room. That shot is perfect! I love it. I love rain shots too. I captured a lot last week when it rained almost every day. For now, my tree offering: https://iamchandralynn.com/2021/10/14/thursdaytreelove-a-sunflower-in-an-orchard-full-of-apples/

Love your photo and it’s nice to have those rainy days. We haven’t had that many rainy days this year, but mostly during the night. I really like falling to sleep to the rain. 🙂 Here’s mine for this week, https://tblsite.me/2021/10/14/ttl-116/

Like always, a perfect pairing between words and photo, Parul! I know exactly what you mean – there is something wonderfully comforting about your shot It’s as if it’s saying that even on the gloomiest of days, you can find something beautiful – you just need to look for it. Thank you for the beautiful reminder, friend.

That’s a lovely picture. It’s beautiful to sit and watch the rain and you’re right — sometimes we just get so lost in thoughts.
We just had some rains after AGES! And it felt so good. 🙂
This time, I’m linking some trees draped and bearded with moss — from Hoh Rainforest in Washington State.
