“It’s a funny thing about life, once you begin to take note of the things you are grateful for, you begin to lose sight of the things that you lack.” ― Germany Kent

This week I went to work four days in a row after two long years. It felt different and good. I was tired at the end of each day but I still liked being around my peers and work with folks around. Working from home is comfortable and caters to the lazy me but being in the office, brings out a lot good too.
On the way to work, I spotted that our trees in Bangalore are now full of these red flowers. These are the blooms of the Gulmohar tree also commonly known as Royal Poinciana, Flamboyant, Flame of the Forest, Krishnachura and Peacock flower. This click was from a moving vehicle but made me happy. Summer is here.
Thursday Tree love is a photo feature hosted on this blog on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of a month. The next edition will go live on April 28, 2022. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog, tell me where did you spot the tree and link it back to this post.

I must say I don’t envy you. The Bangalore traffic must be back to peak horribility. It is often very bad here, but my own commute is not as bad as it could have been. That tree is a great compensation. One of things I love about summer is these flowers.

I haven’t seen any Gulmohar tree in my city but I remember full bloomed tree at my native place .
I wish that working people should go to their work place as before . Work from home is a boring business. Though I agree safety is important. As a teacher till I don’t have eye contact & physical presence of my students , it seems to me i am unable to teach them …very difficult. Place ,people, peers , atmosphere mean a lot. Once you retire …you will feel the difference.
Love the quote

The quote is perfect Parul, just loved reading it and it is so true, gratitude turns what we have into enough:) and the picture of the tree is beautiful .I loved the click, its a such a nice Orange dark and deep.. reminded me of a popular coconut sweet in orange color. I remember enjoying this sweet in this school and our neighborhood as a child. Thank you for bringing sweet memories back into my life once again, i am smiling as i typing this comment. We finally have blooming trees where I live in the Northeast United States, but one thing we can never have is a gulmohar tree, as they are not hardy in most of the United States, But I will admire it from afar! Alana ramblinwitham
