“Do one thing every day that scares you.”
– Eleanor Roosevelt
Last edition when I shared the banyan tree with you all, I read that many of you living outside of India haven’t seen the tree. Like you may guess, I also love plants. I have a small apartment on the fifteenth floor and one balcony that faces the east. This makes a good case for morning sunlight, air and rain water. In our small balcony and the house, we have some 80 odd plants.
Last month, we added this small Banyan tree in a pot to the collection.
Sharing a slice of life with you all and deviating from the usual tree picture. This one was clicked on the day this plant came home. So how about you share a plant from your home, neighbourhood or surroundings for this edition?
Thursday Tree love is a photo feature hosted on this blog on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of a month. The next edition will go live on August 11, 2022. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog, tell me where did you spot the tree and link it back to this post.
If you don’t see the pingback, please leave a link to your post in my comments section. Please make sure that your post’s link is showing up on this latest edition. I will link your posts on my blog in the next edition and spread some love. Let’s come together to appreciate the beautiful nature around us.
Before you go, don’t forget to check the lovely trees shared on #ThursdayTreeLove -131

Eleanor Roosevelt was (in my opinion) one of the best First Ladies (wife of a President) my United States ever had, and this saying of hers is good advice. My post for today is about young trees in my neighborhood planted for a specific reason https://ramblinwitham.blogspot.com/2022/06/tribs-in-trouble-thursdaytreelove.html

I bet your home and balcony are beautiful with so many plants. I don’t have as many as I used to inside, but my backyard and the front yard are full of plants and trees. The banyan tree looks very healthy. Here’s my latest tree love including a pitcher plant: https://joannaoftheforest.wordpress.com/2022/06/23/thursday-tree-love-the-life-of-a-stump/

It would be lovely to see a picture of all your plants together, Parul. 80 plants? I imagine most of your day will be spent caring for your plant babies. We have six indoor plants. We tried to plant more in our small backyard, but they couldn’t survive the Phoenix summer and we, being bad plant parents couldn’t do much to rescue them. Will share our indoor plant photo next week.

Oh no! Sorry to hear. Yes, harsh weather can be too strong for plants. We don’t spend a lot of time but yes, a couple of times a day we look out for them, tending and caring. Most times it is also a quick glance to find out how they are 🙂 Thanks Vinitha for joining with your lovely trees. See you around soon.

Beautiful quote!! Gosh! 80 plants, did you say, Parul?
This is such a cute addition. Never seen a Banyan plant so this one definitely brings a smile on my face! I love how you made your home so much more brighter and greener by adding these plant babies. Our urban jungles need the greenery!
I so missed this space, Parul! So, now, although late by a few days, I’m back here and will be posting one of my newest plant babies for #TTL this fortnight. Here goes:

The japanese maple I planted from the pot in my garden, but it don’t like the sunshine, looks not good just…Maybe, next one I share a plant from my rooftop or backyard. Today show the photos, which I took at the end of may – sorry, I had a lot of trouble last time and could not continue blogging.
