“Let your home be your mast and not your anchor.” — Kahlil Gibran

I recently visited my parents up North. This was a short trip but I walked around with them a lot in the mornings and late evenings. There were days I would catch up to them because I was late or they caught up if I was too fast. One day when I was too lazy to step out for a morning walk, my mum came back sharing about a row of Harshringar trees that were blooming.
These trees are native of South East Asia and also go by names like Night Flowering Jasmine or Tree of sorrow. They have a fragrance that I feel is mild and refreshing. And first thing as the Sun comes up, the blooms drop covering the ground beneath like a carpet.
This tree is one of my favorites and I even tried planting one at home but did not have luck.
Thursday Tree love is a photo feature hosted on this blog on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of a month. The next edition will go live on November 9, 2023. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog, tell me where did you spot the tree and link it back to this post.
If you don’t see the pingback, please leave a link to your post in my comments section. Please make sure that your post’s link is showing up on this latest edition. I will link your posts on my blog in the next edition and spread some love. Let’s come together to appreciate the beautiful nature around us.

I’m glad you got to visit your parents. The trees enhance the building, and the little blooms carpeting the grass are delightful. I like your shoes, too! Here’s my latest tree love: https://joannaoftheforest.wordpress.com/2023/10/26/tree-love-sunset-and-the-creek/
