“Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.”
― Confucious
Last weekend I explored a new lake and I did not know this was just at a 15 minutes drive from where I live. From afar, this Banyan tree was all spread out and I was admiring it as I walked towards it. But when my friend and I reached this spot, we were amazed at how the trunk of the tree had twisted the way is has. We spent a lot of time looking at the tree and it sure brought me a ton of joy.
If you live in Bangalore, Rachenahalli Lake is a good circuit to walk. Not too big to get tired yet be amidst nature.
Thursday Tree love is a photo feature hosted on this blog on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of a month. The next edition will go live on February 8, 2024. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog, tell me where did you spot the tree and link it back to this post.
If you don’t see the pingback, please leave a link to your post in my comments section. Please make sure that your post’s link is showing up on this latest edition. Lovely tree. I would love to enjoy some good sleep underneath it. Have you done that? Slept in a garden under a tree, backyard, or whatever green space you have. No air-conditioner in the world can beat that cool breeze and that filtered sunlight.

I have done that as a kid. Slept, read, played and chatted under a mango tree that i used to love at my grandparents’ place.

I’ve seen these trees in the state (United States) of Florida and it’s another tree that would not survive the climate I live in. That’s why I enjoy the sight of one. Here’s my winter entry: https://ramblinwitham.blogspot.com/2024/01/the-bones-of-winter-thursdaytreelove.html

Sharing my post for this edition here. I’d almost missed it if it weren’t for the tree pic popping up this morning. 🙂
