#ThursdayTreeLove – 176

We only see what we want to see; we only hear what we want to hear. Our belief system is just like a mirror that only shows us what we believe. ~Don Miguel Ruiz

Thursday Tree Love – 176

On my way to work, I cross a very small junction. This is a short cut that my auto driver takes to avoid signals and traffic of the main road. On this junction is a pair of Peepal trees surrounded by a cemented area so the trees are also protected. There is a small Lord Ganesha idol in between the two trees. It’s an every day sight that I notice the idol, the trees and also I bow for quick milliseconds as we cross through.

One day as we were approaching this junction, I saw a man circling the tree and that was it.

A quick click to capture what I witnessed.

Faith and ritual on a busy street. This man was not worried about the traffic around or the noise. It was his time and his belief.

  1. Love the quote parul; its true we see what we believe, i am inspired by this huge tree standing tall, and so nice that no matter whats happening outside, the person is busy connecting with the divine.. thanks for sharing.

  2. The quote you shared is so true. A lot of time we are comfortable and used to our beliefs, and they are like second nature to us. For the devoted, they can serve a purpose and a path forwards. That is a timely capture, right place at the right time 🙂
