Thursday Tree Love – 187

I was at the Bangalore airport a few days back and the not so-new-Terminal (T2) has an amazing line up on trees inside the airport. I always get intrigued by how the airport can have thriving cacti and such trees that only survive in an arid climate and conditions.

Google tells me that this is Beaked Yucca, a tree-like plant that is native to Texas and some specific regions of Mexico. Have you seen this tree?

Thursday Tree love is a photo feature hosted on this blog on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of a month. The next edition will go live on July 10, 2025. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog, tell me where did you spot the tree and link it back to this post.

If you don’t see the pingback, please leave a link to your post in my comments section. Please make sure that your post’s link is showing up on this latest edition. I will link your posts on my blog in the next edition and spread some love. Let’s come together to appreciate the beautiful nature around us.

Before you go, don’t forget to check the lovely trees shared on #ThursdayTreeLove -186

  1. I haven’t seen this tree, the Beaked Yucca before. These do look like they are standing tall and thriving. I like the quote that you shared. Thriving gives us a sense of something to look forward to, and to get up, grow and see how we can contribute to our communities 🙂

  2. Hi! I have seen yucca trees, but not sure about this one. I wonder how tall they are. I posted a tree love just now but seem to have gotten behind with my timing. I’ll check back later to see if you have a newer post.

  3. Now there are lots of plants and trees to look at at the the Terminal 2, right? That indoor forest is cool. 🙂
Parul, this tree reminded me of the Joshua Tree but it seems to be a ‘relative’ of the Joshua Tree found in the Mojave Desert. Remember this — https://dnambiar.com/2023/10/joshua-tree-california.html
Apparently, the Joshua Tree is Yucca Brevifolia and The Beak Yucca is botanically — Yucca rostrata.

Thank you for hosting, dear Parul. Will try to add a tree post for the next edition. 🙂
