On our recent trip to Spiti Valley, we were in Tabo for half a day and the night. It’s a small village with a handful population. The place we stayed in had this tree in the owner’s backyard. I spotted this blooming Gulmohar (May flower) tree in my neighborhood. It was a Sunday and I wanted to buy some vegetables. This was a classic case of looking for beauty around the world when it’s right under your nose. I was so amazed at the size of the tree and that it was such perfectly located making it unnoticeable.
