“No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path.”
― Gautam Buddha

I spotted this tree in Simla and how it stood alone in its surrounding impressed me. Don’t we all need to at some point in our lives?
Thursday Tree love is a photo feature on this blog and is hosted on 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. The next edition will be live on December 14, 2017. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog and link it back to this post.
If you don’t see the pingback, please leave a link to your post in my comments section. I will link your posts on my blog in the next edition and spread some love. Let’s come together to appreciate the beautiful nature around us.
Before you go, don’t forget to check the lovely trees shared on #ThursdayTreeLove – 27 which by the way, wasn’t a B&W picture. Surprised? Go check it out again.
Loved the shot! That tree looks beautiful.

I love how well you captured the pine standing tall and straight against the gorgeous backdrop! (My hometown Kohima used to be uncannily similar). Beautiful quote and an essential life lesson to live by!

There is something brave, noble and a little lonesome about a tree standing alone. But isn’t that how it often is when we stand alone? Longtime Tree Love admirer joining in for the first time this week! http://lifefaithincaneyhead.blogspot.com/2017/11/thursdaytreelove.html

Well said, sometimes we have to stand alone but that should not make us feel sad or lost. Rather, it should give us strength for we are able to handle things all by ourselves!

Yes and that we need to remember. Thank you, Shilpa!

Alone, and majestic. Looks like it is floating in the clouds! We may have loved ones, but at some point in our lives, yes, we are called upon to stand alone. When my time comes, I hope to have the strength and beauty of that tree. Here’s my entry: http://ramblinwitham.blogspot.com/2017/11/brown-is-beautiful-thursdaytreelove.html

Sadly, it is so true that we have to be alone and strong beyond what we think ourselves capable of at times… that tree looks pretty majestic while it is doing it though!

Very good and correct quote. But it is irony also that we are alone among many people and I don’t like to be alone .it is depressing.

It depends on how you see it. When you need someone and no one is around, then it feels alone. Isn’t it?

I loved that quote, Parul, and am going to save it for myself, to read it and remind me of it from time to time. We are the best people to take care of us, stand up for us, love us and forgive us, till the end of time.

Thursday Tree Love is a wonderful idea Parul. Trees have so much wisdom. There is a stand of ancient cedar and Douglas fir trees about 45 minutes from my home that I like to visit at least once a year. You can not help but feel at peace amongst these giants.

Still learning how to share a post I wrote before. Apparently Trees are much bigger in my life than I realized. I can’t count how many times I have written about them and photographed them.
Here’s just one story: https://wordpress.com/post/chosenperspectives.com/16223
